WLA Cares Christmas Initiative

We, as a church, have an opportunity to bless families and individuals in our communities this Christmas season. We have identified 6 ministries and programs that we will intentionally partner with this year. Here's are some ways you can get involved...

  • Pray
  • Choose an initiative
  • Volunteer for Packing & Delivery

 Pray...

  • That everyone involved in these ministries would know the love of Christ this Christmas
  • For each of these ministries during this Christmas season, and all year round
  • That the Lord would impress on your heart a desire to serve the community

Volunteer in Packing and Delivery

*These roles have been quickly filled, and we have all of the volunteers that we need!*

My Sisters’ Place (MSP) is a safe, welcoming and inclusive centre that supports women through drop-in and wrap-around services. Many experience multiple vulnerabilities including gender based violence, trauma, chronic mental and physical health challenges, homelessness or housing instability, substance use, and extreme poverty. Developed with input from women of lived experience, My Sisters’ Place offers a comprehensive multi-disciplinary support system with the capacity to deliver practical needs, specialized services and education/skills development under one roof.  This Christmas, we have an opportunity to bless these women through practical needs. Here is a list of the items they are requesting:

  • Deodorant
  • Feminine hygiene products (pads, tampons, liners)
  • New underwear
  • New socks
  • Shampoo & conditioner

Please bring your donations to the church, label the bag "My Sisters' Place", and put them in the bin in the front foyer.
