The three main values of Life Groups are:
Connecting is a value that is often taken for granted due to the common belief that a healthy group is made up of members who are in the same place at the same time; however, connecting is something that requires intentionality, and without that the group is stunted in its growth. Scripture is full of teachings of how we are meant to interact with one another, and a small group is one of the best environments to model Christ to fellow brothers and sisters in the church. The connections that are created can forge into a powerful Spirit-led pursuit of sharing the Gospel with our friends and family.
We can, at any age be humbled, strengthened, and encouraged to grow in faithfulness towards God. Growing together is accomplished in a multitude of ways including studying God’s word together, praying together, and encouraging one another. Using a variety of study materials, groups are encouraged to find a challenging study for the season that their Life Group is in.
Going together locally and or globally keeps the group focused on the Great Commission. Groups are encouraged to find ways to share their faith personally by serving with either one of our local mission partners or by another specific need that the group had identified. By learning to serve locally, our desire would be to see groups consider overseas missions. While ultimately, we want to impact the City of London, we also want to reach the world for Christ. Life Groups are encouraged to pray through the opportunity of going together locally and globally as they seek to serve Christ. The overseas component is not for every group; however, praying for the overseas missions and serving locally is.
