West London Alliance Church

Apprentice Church Planting Pastor

Born and raised in a small farming community about an hour north of London, Rhys cannot remember a time in his life when he wasn’t a Christian. Raised in a Christian home, he came to know Jesus as his saviour at a very young age, and by God’s grace, has never wandered from that relationship.

Rhys met his wife Natalie when they were 17 years old, when they worked together at a summer camp for adults with developmental and physical disabilities, and they started dating that summer with the intention of going into international missions. They were married three years later, and have now have five amazing kids: Caedmon, Bronwyn, Marek, Freya and Ronan.

Even though they intended to go into full time missions after they finished their schooling at Western University in London, God had other plans and they never made it to the mission field. In the years between finishing his BA and beginning his MTS, Rhys worked as a contractor, a barista, a DSW, and a warehouse supervisor.

After starting seminary at Heritage College and Seminary in Cambridge, Rhys began working as a CrossFit coach and continues to do that on a part time basis because he enjoys it so much. He graduated with a Master in Theological Studies in April 2020, and looks forward to doing more schooling in the future.

Rhys is a lover of sports, of Rugby and CrossFit in particular, and also loves to hunt. He reads constantly and is addicted to buying books and will almost never say no to coffee, pizza or donuts.
