Making known the greatness of God the Father in the gospel of God the Son by the power of God the Spirit.
To pursue faithfulness in the marks and ministry of a church according to the Word of God. To pursue faithfulness by faithfully preaching and teaching the gospel, faithfully observing the biblical ordinances, and faithfully ministering to God, to believers, and to unbelievers. To pursue faithfulness using biblical means to achieve biblical ends.
THE MARKS OF A FAITHFUL CHURCH
Gathering
We pursue faithfulness by gathering on the Lord’s Day for biblical preaching, prayer, singing, and participation in the ordinances. We believe that a single gathering on the Lord’s Day is ideal. To that end, we strive towards a single service on the Lord’s Day and will endeavour to continue gathering for a single service once that has been achieved.
Preaching and Teaching
We pursue faithfulness through biblical preaching and teaching of the Bible which has as its very center the gospel of Jesus Christ. This includes the development of vocational pastors and lay elders who are able to preach and teach God’s Word and lead God’s churches. This also includes the systematic teaching of biblical doctrine. A biblical diaconal ministry also supports this endeavour.
Observance of Ordinances
We pursue faithfulness by observing the biblical ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Table.
Church Discipline
We pursue faithfulness through both formative church discipline and restorative church discipline.
THE MINISTRY OF A FAITHFUL CHURCH
Ministry to God
We pursue faithfulness by worshipping God as a community of believers through our whole-life worship and our every endeavour as a church. This includes every facet of our Lord’s Day gathering such as congregational praise. It also includes our gathering for congregational prayer.
Ministry to Believers
We pursue faithfulness by discipling believers through transformative, gospel relationships. This includes equipping the saints for the work of ministry, members meetings, and biblical counselling. This also includes raising up elders, deacons, and missionaries. We similarly pursue faithfulness by wisely managing the financial resources we have been given. We also see care for the needy in our own congregation as a necessity for faithfulness.
Ministry to Unbelievers
We pursue faithfulness by endeavouring to evangelize which, as God allows, will result in the planting of local and global churches. It also includes mercy ministries, supported by deacons, which intend to alleviate suffering.
