In Children's Ministry at West London Alliance Church, our values shape everything we do. They guide how we teach, care for, and walk alongside the kids God has entrusted to us. Each value reflects our desire to help children know the greatness of God, grow in their faith, and experience the love and truth of Christ through both our words and our actions.
Sunday morning gives us an opportunity to praise and worship our great God. Our Bible-based lessons, from a solid biblical curriculum, focus on teaching truth from God's Word. We currently study from the ESV version of the Bible.
We offer age-appropriate programming for all kids, infants through to Grade 5.
Here at WLA, we take the responsibility for the safety of your children very seriously. As a result, each volunteer serving in Children's Ministry is screened with a police background check and undergoes yearly training on the policies and protection plans we have in place. We have a strict sign-in and sign-out policy for all our kids, from infants through Grade 5. If you have any questions or concerns about our procedures, see our Sign In Procedures page.
Each year, our Turbo class (Grades 4 and 5) puts on a bake sale to raise money for our youth and/or adult mission team traveling that year. It is a great way for them to become aware of the needs in other countries. Growzone also supports Compassion Canada by sponsoring Diana, a 12-year-old girl from Ecuador. Letters are exchanged with Diana, and an offering is taken each week. Kids are encouraged to tithe their allowance or any money they earn to help support this.
Learning is such a big part of a child's life. In Growzone, we want to teach our WLA kids about God's greatness by revealing His truths through God's Word each week.
Relationships are an important part of a person's life. We strive to help kids build positive relationships with peers, leaders, mentors, and ultimately a strong relationship with God.
We are dedicated to making known the Greatness of God by the lives we live, by the love we show, and by the work we share. Our prayer is that through the Biblical lessons taught each week, our WLA kids will grow in the love and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
