We have the opportunity to support mothers with babies and young children in our community through practical donations and by coming alongside organizations and initiatives in our city.
How to Support This Initiative:
DIAPER DRIVE
We are running a Diaper Drive! Please consider donating boxes or bags of diapers. These will be collected and distributed to trusted organizations throughout the city, who will ensure they go directly to those who need them most. *There is a great need for larger-sized diapers (Size 5 & 6).
SUPPORT THE RESIDENTS OF ANOVA
Anova provides free emergency and short-term shelter for women and their children who have experienced gender-based violence.
They also offer Second Stage Housing, a transitional housing unit that supports women as they take the next step toward independence, providing a medium-security environment for more independent living.
As a church, we have the opportunity to support Anova by contributing to their upcoming turkey dinner at the emergency shelters, as well as donating items for their Second Stage Housing Potluck to bless the women and children in their care.
We are in need of 6 frozen turkeys to help make the turkey dinner possible. WLA Cares funds will go toward purchasing the remaining items needed for the meal.

*You can donate to the WLA Cares fund by cheque or etransfer. Please include "WLA Cares" on the memo line of a cheque written to West London Alliance Church. Etransfers can be sent to payments@wlachurch.org; please include "WLA Cares" in the message box.
