Internship Update

Check out this update from our Apprentice Church Planting Pastor, Rhys Plant, who is completing an internship with Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington DC. Please continue to pray for Rhys, his wife Natalie, and their five children as he finishes the program, scheduled to end in May 2021.
  • Pray that travel restrictions are lifted in time for them to come home with no issues
  • Pray that God would continue to sustain Natalie and the kids as they homeschool
  • Pray that Rhys would be able to absorb and learn as much as possible during his time there

Rhys Plant Apprentice Church Planting Pastor

Rhys was born and raised in a Christian home in Southwestern Ontario and he and his wife Natalie have five kids: Caedmon, Bronwyn, Marek, Freya and Ronan. He has a BA from Huron at Western and an MTS from Heritage College and Seminary.

Wednesday Morning Staff Meetings

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the church was unable to meet in person, the staff at WLA realized that it was important to continue sharing about their ministries and sharing words of encouragement with the congregation. We decided to launch a segment called "Wednesday Morning Staff Meetings", named after the monthly WLA staff meetings, normally held on Wednesday mornings.
