Prayer - Matt and Connie

The prayer focus this week is for Matt and Connie who serve in the Asian Spice region. Here are a few ways we as a church family can pray for them:

Please pray for God’s protection to be upon them as they are dealing with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country in which they are serving.
Pray that they would find creative ways to continue to connect with those they are building relationships with during their country’s lockdown.
Pray that their girls, Quinn and Emma, would be able to adjust to being at home as their school is now closed.
Continue to pray that God would have His healing hand upon Matt’s back and the ongoing issues he has had with it.

I am with you on the seeming higher significance to our society of Good Friday over Easter Monday, and this is total wrongheadedness. Maybe a name change IS in order, but i would change the name of Easter Monday to Resurrection Monday. (Of course, the two events are inextricably related).

God's Word has been a precious source of comfort as we wait out this time of physical separation. As my friend and I prayed over the phone, she mentioned that she prefers the name "Resurrection Sunday" instead of Easter Sunday. We hear about Easter bunny etc. It is indeed the Resurrection Sunday. Praise God for this amazing, incomprehensible eternal salvation we have in Christ.
