The Blessed and Boundless God by George Swinnock is a book in the Puritan Treasures for Today series. and is from Swinnock's The Incomparableness of God which is found in volume 4 of Swinnock’s Works. The publisher describes this work: "From the psalmist's assertion that no one in heaven or earth is like God, George Swinnock derives his principal doctrine-namely, God is incomparable. Throughout The Blessed and Boundless God, he proves his doctrine by demonstrating God's incomparableness in His being, attributes, works, and words."

George Swinnock was born in 1627 at Maidstone, Kent. He was a graduate of Cambridge (BA) and Oxford (MA). He was a pastor until his death in 1672.

In the chapter on God's justice, this profound sentence is shared:

People might do justly, but God must do justly because His will is His law.

What struck me as particularly interesting is the idea that God's will is his law. This could be read two ways. One, the Scriptures--God's law--are a revelation of his will. That is, if we want to see the will of God, it is literally spelled out for us in the Bible. Two, the only law that God is bound to submit to is the law of his own will. I think, in both cases, those ideas are correct. God's Word is for us an inspired revelation of his will. It does not exhaustively expound God's will, but to what it reveals, it is accurate to say that the will of God is found therein. And, God is bound to now "law" but the law of his own will.

As per the the aim that Swinnock has in his work, this affirms that there is none like Yahweh. He is incomparable. He is blessed and boundless in a manner and magnitude that cannot be replicated.
